“What does it mean to be made in the Image of God”

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 

We are different than all other of His creation … He put us here to function in His place.   We do not evolve into the image of God.  Every human being is created in His image … We are to represent Him on earth.

Exo 20:7  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. [Take = to bear, to support, to carry, to lift]
