Why Going On To Maturity Is Most Important

Every Believer should have a desire to leave a legacy that motivates others to walk with Christ. Philippians 3:14,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.'

This Memorial Day weekend, we remember the fallen … the many who have given their life for freedom, in the service of the United States of America. And at the same time I think of our Armed Forces.  Armed Forces week ends on the third Sunday of May. It is appropriate that these dates are together. We are living in troublesome times, with conflicts in many places … You could say wars and rumors of war with unnumbered people killed. And in a moment of time, some of our Armed forces could become ones, we remember on Memorial Day. 

That brings us to a sobering thought; and not just for the military but for all mankind … We are all just a heartbeat from eternity. And our physical life is the opportunity to prepare for eternity.
